Blogmas Day 10: An Unconventional Christmas Look

Hi everyone, and welcome to Blogmas day 10! Here’s the extra post I owe you from when peanut was sick.

When everyone on YouTube posts a holiday look, it seems that it’s always the same: gold eyes, red lips, that old chestnut. So I decided to flip that tradition on its head and go for a red EYE look. I know it sounds scary, but it’s more cranberry, so it’s easier to pull off than you think.

Here’s how I got this look:

  1. I used Ulta’s HD Soft Focus Foundation to even out my skin tone. As always, NYX undereye concealer hides my “mommy Guccis.”
  2. I used a rosy brown shade from Makeup Revolution’s Sugar and Spice Blush palette to warm up my cheeks a tiny bit without it pulling too pink.20181221_1830081656217447438860465.jpg
  3. I then used Rimmel’s MagnifEyes Palette in Crimson Edition on my eyes. I used the first shade as highlight, the third shade as a transition, the fifth shade on the outer V, and a mix of the last two under the lower lashes and in the very outer corner to tone it down a little. I then lined my eyes with Rimmel’s ScandalEyes Eyeliner in Brown. I used Wet ‘n Wild’s Max Fanatic Cat Eye Mascara on my top lashes.
  4. I finished with some of Avon’s True Color Lipstick in Peony Blush.

So, what do you think? Are you brave enough to try a “red” eye look? I think it was really flattering on my green eyes, so if you have green peepers like me, give it a shot!

As always, thanks for reading, and and catch up with you next week!

Until next time,
